Craft your balance #3 - Wuelbefannen op der Aarbecht
As part of its "Make. Shape. Create. A Better Place to Work" campaign, the Chamber of Commerce has developed a 5-pillar approach to the factors that have a negative impact on the work of craftspeople. By reducing these elements, safety and well-being at work can be increased. In this episode, we focus on the WELL pillar, which represents well-being, health and a good working climate.
Ben Jungers is the director of the family business de Buedemleër. Marco Schmitz is co-founder and director of Wandwerk et Taff. The two companies explained what measures they have taken to promote the well-being of their employees, how they measure the success of their philosophy, but also what bothers them about the term "work-life-balance".

HAND MADE ZU LËTZEBUERG - 2022
Ben Jungers presents the family business "de Buedemleër".
The biggest challenge today is human resources. Times have changed and it is no longer the bosses who choose their staff, but rather the employees who choose their employer. To remain attractive as an employer and to have a trusting relationship based on mutual respect, is important to us.
International and inter-branch exchanges
Training, learning, apprenticeship... whether it is at the start or end of a career, is very important to us. To this end, we are regularly involved in training and in visits to businesses. We also offer our young apprentices the possibility to gain experience in the professional world, outside our own Company, internationally and/or through a totally different profession.
Thanks to this pioneering initiative, we had the honour of being awarded the trophy for the best "Entreprise formatrice" (training-providing company) in 2017. Our sincere thanks goes out to the Chambre des Métiers (Chamber of Trades), the Ministry for Education and the Chambre des Salariés (Chamber of Employees).
