Our Expertise Has Evolved Since 1994
A second-generation Luxembourg family business, we are growing while staying true to our craft, our team and the passing on of our know-how.
Our story is above all that of a family, of know-how passed down from one generation to the next, and of a team that moves with the times while remaining true to the values that have guided de Buedemleër since the beginning.
1994

On 1st May 1994, Roby Jungers and his wife Mady founded de Buedemleër. The young company’s head office was then located in their family home in Schifflange.
Roby brought his experience in parquet, floor coverings, blinds and insect screens, while Mady took charge of administration and sales.
1994–1997
Thanks to their commitment and complementary experience, the company grew rapidly. The premises in Schifflange soon became too small to keep pace with this growth.
1997–1999

A new building was then planned and built in the Zone d'activités régionale d'Ehlerange Ouest (ZARE Ouest), a regional business park. It brings together an exhibition space, a workshop and a warehouse under one roof.
On 22 February 1999, de Buedemleër moved into its new premises in Ehlerange with the two founders and two fitters.

For lovers of the Luxembourgish language – and anyone wondering why “de Buedemleër” is not spelt “de Buedemleeer” – the explanation lies in our history.
The company was founded in 1994, before the 1999 reform of Luxembourgish spelling. True to our original name, we chose to keep its historical spelling: de Buedemleër.
2008
After completing his university studies, Ben Jungers joined the family business in September 2008. He trained with his parents, both in the office and on site.
2010

Aware of the importance of responsible waste management and environmental protection, de Buedemleër obtained the SuperDrecksKëscht fir Betriber certification.
2011
Ben Jungers obtained his master craftsman’s certificate as a parquet layer.
2012

In January, a new milestone was reached as the family business became a limited liability company.
In April, after several years in the banking sector, Martine Jungers, Ben’s sister, also joined de Buedemleër. The family was complete and the second generation gradually began to take over.
In December, Roby retired. Mady continued to work in the company to support the succession and the development of the new generation.
2013
de Buedemleër invested in passing on its expertise and officially became a Training Company. In the same year, the company also obtained the Made in Luxembourg label.
2014

de Buedemleër celebrated its 20th anniversary. The website and logo were refreshed to combine the company’s historical values with a new dynamism.
2016

Curtains and voile curtains came to complement the blinds and insect screen business. The company’s range expanded, and this development gave rise to a new tagline under the logo: “Artisans d'intérieur”.
To support the company’s development and growth, the offices and exhibition space were completely renovated and enlarged. The showroom now covers more than 250 m² over two floors.
2017

de Buedemleër received the Best Training Company 2017 award. This distinction recognises in particular the company’s commitment to apprenticeships over the years, as well as the international exchange between two apprentice parquet layers organised in 2016.

2019

de Buedemleër celebrated its 25th anniversary and launched a new website that showcases the company’s various activities and expertise more prominently.
2021
In December, the first version of the “Guiding principles and values of the de Buedemleër team” was published, setting out the shared values and principles that guide the team every day.

2024 — Takeover of Tapis Hertz

An important new chapter in de Buedemleër’s history began with the takeover of the Tapis Hertz brand and two of its main activities.
The histories and expertise of two Luxembourg family businesses thus came together around interior furnishing.
In the same year, de Buedemleër also celebrated its 30th anniversary.

2026 — A new identity
Following the integration of Tapis Hertz, de Buedemleër evolved its identity and adopted new brand guidelines.
The tagline “Artisans d'intérieur” became “Artisan d'intérieur” to reflect a shared identity and one of the company’s core values: team spirit.
A new sage colour refreshes the visual identity, accompanied by three pictograms representing the three main worlds of de Buedemleër’s products and services:
Interior decoration – represented by the symbol from Tapis Hertz, marking the integration of this house and its history into de Buedemleër.
Parquet & floor coverings – with a pictogram inspired by parquet, the company’s original trade.
Insect screens – with a frame-shaped pictogram directly representing the frame of an insect screen.
This new identity is also accompanied by the launch of de Buedemleër’s new website, directly linked to the company’s ERP system.
