Solid and engineered parquet
The warmth and character of real wood, for all your living spaces.
A floor made to last: well chosen and well maintained, parquet can be renovated over the years and evolve with your interior.
Parquet, a naturally timeless floor
Parquet is a real-wood floor covering, valued for centuries for its natural character, warmth and longevity. Timeless, it is equally at home in a traditional house as in a contemporary interior.
And today parquet offers far more possibilities than you might imagine: wood species, formats, laying patterns, textures, shades and finishes make it possible to create very different floors. From natural oak to more contemporary shades, its appearance can even change over time through sanding and the application of a new oil, natural or pigmented.
At de Buedemleër, we offer a wide range of solid and engineered parquet, from small strips to large planks, so you can find the parquet that suits your interior, your wishes and how the room is used.
Why choose parquet?
Parquet is much more than just a floor covering. Natural, warm and durable, it stands the test of time and can evolve with your interior.
Appearance & character — Every board is unique. The natural shades, grain and textures of the wood give the floor its character.
Durability & longevity — Well chosen, installed and maintained, parquet is designed to accompany your interior for many years.
Renovation potential — This is one of its great strengths: depending on the type of parquet and its condition, it can be sanded, repaired and given a new finish rather than being replaced.
Comfort — Pleasant and warm to the touch, wood brings a feeling of natural comfort to living spaces.
A floor that can evolve — Renovation not only refreshes the parquet but also lets you change its appearance with different oils and pigmented shades.
Natural & healthy material — Parquet puts real wood at the heart of your interior, with its look, its feel and its natural variations.
Eco-responsibility — Sourced from sustainable forests, renewable and bio-based.
Great freedom of style — Species, dimensions, grades, patterns, colours and finishes offer many possibilities, from the most classic to the most contemporary.
The different types of parquet

Large parquet planks, from 14 to 38 cm wide and from 60 to 200 cm long, or even longer. Available in several thicknesses: from 10 mm, particularly suitable for renovation and low available heights, up to 22 mm for installation on joists.
Many options let you personalise your parquet: thickness, width, wood grade — very clean with few knots or more rustic with knots and cracks — as well as a wide choice of finishes, shades and colours.

100% solid parquet made of small strips 8 mm thick. It allows different laying patterns and looks: mosaic (often called Bembé parquet), English (staggered) pattern, parallel or herringbone.
Rarely laid new nowadays, this parquet is still very common in older houses. Before tearing it out, consider renovation: sanding and a new finish, particularly with a coloured oil, can completely transform its appearance. Common dimensions: ± 2.3 cm wide and ± 16 cm long. We also have various dimensions available for repairs. Three grades: natural (knot-free), rustic (with knots) and streaked (with sapwood).

Also known as industrial parquet, edge-laid parquet is a solid parquet made of small strips laid vertically, on their edge. This particular arrangement creates a floor with a graphic and rather contemporary character.
Dimensions: 8 mm wide and 160 mm long, in thicknesses of 16 or 23 mm. We strongly advise against the 10 mm version. Different looks are possible depending on the surface treatment and finish.

Solid parquet in a rather classic style. Several laying patterns are possible: parallel, English (staggered) pattern, regular pattern, herringbone or chevron.
Dimensions: ± 50 × 70 cm; various sizes are also available to allow old parquet floors to be repaired.
Rarely laid new nowadays, this type of parquet is still very common in older houses. Before tearing it out, consider renovating it: sanding, repairs and a new finish can give it a second life and even transform its appearance with coloured oils.

A particularly hard parquet with a unique look: the cut of the wood reveals the tree’s growth rings. The pieces are cut perpendicular to the grain, giving the floor its very distinctive appearance.

Made of different pieces of wood assembled in geometric patterns, panel parquet offers a particularly elaborate design, often finished with a border. Rarely laid new nowadays, it sometimes holds wonderful surprises in older houses: when it is rediscovered under a rug or an old floor covering, it is often a real gem worth preserving and renovating!

Contrary to appearances, bamboo is not a wood but a grass. Made into a floor covering, it offers great hardness and a very distinctive look. Its strong aesthetic brings real personality to an interior and deserves to be matched to the style and furniture of the room.

Real wood in a walk-in shower? Yes, it’s possible! Some exotic woods, naturally better suited to moisture, make this kind of design possible, with black joints inspired by boat decks. An original solution with a very special character, to discover in our showroom.

Often chosen as a wood imitation, laminate is not, however, parquet: its surface is not made of real wood. Thanks to its printed décor, it can reproduce many materials such as wood, stone, concrete or tiles. Durable, easy to maintain and affordable, it is an attractive alternative to parquet in many situations.
Skirting boards, door thresholds and even stair nosings can be matched to the laminate décor to create a harmonious whole. We work in particular with Pergo, a Belgian supplier, which means short transport distances and fast deliveries.
