Hygiene, safety and durability in medical environments

Hospitals, clinics and medical practices impose high requirements in terms of hygiene, safety, durability and maintenance. Every floor covering, blind, curtain or partition system must be selected according to the area and how it is used.

Resilient and rubber flooring, blinds, curtains, room-divider tracks and acoustic solutions: we advise you on the right products for patient rooms, corridors, care areas and other parts of the facility, in line with the specifications.

A technical contact to support your project from specifications to completion.

Specific requirements — hospitals

  • Resilient flooring (mainly rubber, poured floors) resistant to antibacterial products, suitable for very heavy traffic and heavy loads (electric hospital beds).
  • Anti-slip floors, certified to at least R9/R10.
  • Installation of coved skirting and heat welding or vulcanisation — to ensure a completely watertight finish and eliminate any corners where bacteria could lodge.
  • Electrostatic dissipative floors (ableitfähig) for operating theatres: electrical earthing of the floor using special adhesive, trowels and materials, with a copper strip integrated into the covering.
  • Flame-retardant blinds and vertical blinds.
  • Curtains and sheers washable at 60°, antibacterial, flame-retardant.
  • Room-divider tracks to preserve patients' privacy, reconfigurable without major works.
  • Acoustic elements to limit noise in common areas and corridors.
  • Insect screens to ensure hygiene in kitchen and preparation areas.
  • Clean, discreet execution of the work, without disrupting the running of the department — careful advance planning with the technical, hygiene and safety departments and the department concerned.
