A unique rug, made in your image

Whether you want to add comfort, define a room or make a style statement, we help you create a unique rug, suited to your interior and your way of life.

Choose from a wide range of finishes — cut pile, loop pile, frisé, structured — and various materials such as wool, silk, felt, sisal or coir. To learn more about materials and structures, also take a look at our page on Carpet & fitted carpet.

Your questions about made-to-measure rugs

Yes. We also offer hand-knotted rugs, made to order depending on the model and the manufacturer. These rugs stand out for their craftsmanship: each knot is tied by hand, which makes it possible to create detailed patterns and pieces with a unique character. Wool, silk or fibre blends can be used depending on the desired look. Dimensions, colours and designs can be adapted to the project. As this is handcrafted production, the lead time is considerably longer than for a rug made up from carpet: it can be several months. We do not hold any stock of oriental rugs ready to take away.
A standard rug is offered in predefined sizes and finishes. With made-to-measure, depending on the product, you can adapt the size, shape, material, colour, structure and border to your interior.
The lead time depends on the type of rug and how it is made. For a rug made up to measure, you should generally allow several weeks. For a hand-knotted rug, the handcrafted production can take several months. We will let you know the expected lead time when you make your choice.
Yes. Depending on the product and the manufacturing technique, we can make round, oval or organic shapes or specific cut-outs to fit the rug to your room.
In everyday language, both terms are often used to refer to a movable textile covering laid on the floor. The word ‘carpette’ is used in particular in Luxembourg and Belgium. At de Buedemleër, we make your rugs — whether you call them tapis or carpettes — to measure, according to the dimensions, shape and style you are looking for.
