Textile comfort under your feet

Carpet, also known as “tapis-plain” in Luxembourg, is a textile floor covering that usually covers the entire surface of a room. Soft and warm, it contributes to acoustic comfort and offers a very wide choice of materials, colours, textures and levels of durability.

From classic broadloom carpet to modular tiles, including technical solutions such as Kugelgarn® or Flotex®, we advise you on the right product for the way your room is used.

Why choose carpet?

Comfort — warm and pleasant underfoot

Acoustics — absorbs footstep noise and contributes to the room's acoustic comfort

Choice — many materials, colours, textures and finishes

Versatility — from the bedroom to offices and high-traffic areas

Technical solutions — depending on the product: high durability, easy maintenance or special requirements

Repairability — some products allow spot repairs or replacements

The different types

Carpet can be chosen according to its finish, material, format and use. These factors determine its appearance, feel, durability, maintenance and installation options.

Your questions about carpet & fitted carpet

There are many constructions and materials. Depending on the product, carpet can be made of wool, synthetic fibres, sisal, coir or silk, alone or combined. The material affects its feel, appearance, durability and maintenance.
No. Castors concentrate weight on small areas and put heavy stress on the floor covering as they move. You therefore need to choose a carpet designed for this use. The product's technical data sheet shows whether it is suitable for castor chairs by means of the corresponding pictogram.

Carpet can hold some of the dust and particles in its fibres until the next cleaning, rather than letting them circulate freely in the room. Regular, appropriate cleaning therefore plays an important role.

Yes. This is one of the main advantages of modular systems: a damaged tile can generally be replaced individually, without redoing the whole floor. We recommend keeping a few tiles from the same batch after installation to make any later repair easier.
