True to our commitment to the responsible management of materials and waste, we became the first company in Luxembourg to take part in the Tarkett ReStart® programme.

The ReStart® programme in a nutshell
The ReStart® collection and recycling programme was created by the floor covering manufacturer Tarkett. This initiative by the Franco-Swedish manufacturer sets very high standards for the design and recycling of fitted carpets, carpet tiles, vinyl and linoleum floors at the end of their service life.
This programme enables the brand’s customers – including de Buedemleër – to offer a complete range of products that are, of course, recyclable and environmentally friendly, and designed to create healthier interior spaces.

ReStart® is part of a circular economy approach
Tarkett’s commitment to the circular economy means recycling not only the offcuts left over after installation, but also old carpets or (loose-laid) vinyl floors once they have been removed. In this way, this flooring waste is given a second life.
Tarkett has therefore set up a programme for its customers to collect and recycle not only its own-brand products but also carpets from competing suppliers.

ReStart® and the “Cradle to Cradle” approach
The “Cradle to Cradle” label is an extension of the “circular economy”.
With Cradle to Cradle, the aim is not only to enable optimal recycling of materials and waste management, but also to design products from the outset with resource efficiency and material reuse in mind, either by recycling them or by returning them to the earth as completely safe, non-toxic products.
Tarkett has thus created a range of products, for example by developing solutions that require no adhesive, are loose-laid, or make recycling easier.
